To attain the maximum hashrate for mining any cryptocurrency, you gonna have to tweak your GPU overclock settings. Nvidia RTX 3060 is considered a decent GPU for mining popular coins like ethereum, raven, zcash, ergo, ethereum classic etc.
RTX 3060 can achieve around 48-50 Mh/s for almost all the minable coins. However, for mining ethereum, miners will have to make sure of some points to unlock the maximum hashrate for RTX 3060.
You can fully unlock your RTX 3060 for mining ethereum by replacing your current Nvidia drivers with a 470.05 driver version.
After testing out various RTX 3060 Overclock settings for months, we found the optimal configuration for mining. The following settings below are used to mine ethereum for Zotac RTX 3060 12 GB AMP edition equipped with ASUS Prime H410E motherboard.
RTX 3060 MSI AfterBurner Optimal Settings
You can follow these settings to get the maximum hashrate for mining ethereum, ethereum classic, raven coin etc in best efficiency and power consumption.
I personally use T-rex miner for mining ethereum. Although, there are plenty of other miners you can use like phoenix and Claymore.
For overclocking, I have used MSI Afterburner which gets the job done with ease. These are the overclock settings for RTX 3060 you can configure for your mining rig.
- Core clock: -502 Mhz
- Memory clock: +1350 Mhz
- Power limit: 70%
- Temp limit: 65° C
- Fan Speed: 80%
With these configurations, I have not faced any crashes or stale shares throughout the mining process. The results for these settings are:
- Hashrate: 49.xx Mh/s constant
- Power: 118 W
- Temprature: 53-56 C
- Efficiency: 417 KH/W
Note:
OC settings may perform differently for every RTX 3060 model of various brands depending on their thermal designs.
Anything above that was resulting in either crashes or stale shares every few hours. You can always reduce the fan speed if you aren’t getting above 55 °c. Therefore, try to adjust your OC settings more in a stabilized way to attain a constant hashrate.

Which Windows 10 Version you have installed?
i have Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit and with Version 21H1 and the 470,05 Driver is with my Windows not Compatible.
Please tell me which Version you have installed at the moment you install the 470.05 Nvidia driver?
thanks
Currently, I’m using windows 10 pro 20H2 Version. You can contact me on my email gamerswiz16@gmail.com if you are still facing some issues. I would love to help you out for the same. Thanks.
That is Becouse you have the V2 version of the RTX 3060 only the V1 Version will work With the 470.05 Dev Driver you can figure it out witch one you have By looking at GPU z In Gpuz where it is standing Device ID you got to look for the number 2503 if it says that Perfect you got the v1 if it says 2504 that meens you got the V2
Nice config,
maybe it’s can be better with some changes,
msi Afterburner
cpu: -400 mhz
memory: +1200 mhz
power: 65%
fan: 70%
that config set you to about:
48,5 mh/s
110w
52ºc
eff: 445Kh/W
try to don’t fry your card memories just to get 01mh/s, remember it’s long term mining.
Which miner are you using and if Phoenix, do you mind sharing your config file or your batch file?
Dear Miners i’ve the best Mining settings for the RTX 3060 OC V1 I get about 50 MH/s
I use Following Overlock its is Stable Happy Mining
MSI Afterburner Overclock Settings
Core Voltage 0%
Power Limit 70%
Temp Limit 71%
Core Clock -200 MHz
Memory Clock 1400 MHz Fan Speed 57%
Which miner are you using and if Phoenix, do you mind sharing your config file or your batch file?
Betao your settings have worked wonders for me with my Gigabyte 3060 OC Edition 12 GB cheers! 48.7mh!
That’s really great Lucas! Glad it helped
