Cryptomining is booming more than ever in 2021. Recently, Nvidia has restricted the hash rate for mining ethereum by half for RTX 3060 after the driver’s update. That means miners are getting around 26 Mh/s while mining. However, many people still managed to get the full potential hash rate of around 48-50 Mh/s by bypassing the mining limit.
How to Bypass 3060 Mining Limit?
To run RTX 3060 with a maximum hash rate, you need to install the previous 470.05 Nvidia drivers. As Nvidia has removed the drivers from their official website, you might have to download them from other websites.

Apart from installing drivers, there are some other things that you need to check whether your mining rig meets the necessary components or not.
Things Required to Unlock RTX 3060 Mining Limit
- Nvidia 470.05 Drivers
- PCI-E 3.0 x 16 Slot
- CPU or Processor with a minimum of 8 lanes
- HDMI Dummy Plug ( for multiple GPUs)
- PCIe 3.0 Express Slot for Motherboards
Make sure you have a motherboard equipped with an X16 slot and a CPU of 8 lanes to mine at maximum hash rate. Along with that, sometimes you may need to change your PCI express slot option from 2.0 to 3.0 if the hash rate still won’t increase.
HDMI dummy plug is only required when using multiple GPU’s for mining and necessary for the cards to mine at 49 mh/s.
